Transmitting the annexed copy of a Military Letter from the Honble the Court of Directors to the Governor of Bengal No. 22 dated 3rd May 1843, and to request that he will take immediate measures to forward to this Department, for transmission to Europe, a return of the Shares of European Officers and Soldiers of Her Majesty's and the Honble Company's Services, who were entitled to participate in the Burmese Prize Body, but who had died or left India before the distribution commenced, as well as as a return of such as had required - their shares in India, with a view to the adjustment of the shares of the numerous claimants of that Body in Europe.
