With reference to the decision conveyed in No.162 & 28th Augt. holding commg. officers responsible for the unauthorized disburnsements of scind batta brings to notice a reference from Major A.Wheattey, comm of the 5th Lt.Cavy. as to whom the term commanding officers in question is intended to apply and before replying thereto the C.in C.requests to be informed whether troop officers of that corps are to be included among.
