Decision that service in the reserve of soldiers employed in the police does not count towards a civil pension. Non-commissioned officers are included in the term soldiers and re eligible for the concession; The Officer Commanding the Unit (whether in India or England) to which the soldier belonged is the military authority who should be referred to for the verification of previous military service for the purpose of computing the civvil pension admissible; The previous military service of non-commissioned officers and men joining the police should be verified immediately on their confirmation in the police.
