Read a Despatch No. 39 of 1858, dated the 8th December, from the Right Honble the Secretary of State for India, intimating Para 1 - That the undermentioned gentleman having been found qualified for admission to the Civil Service of India, under the provisious of the Act of 16 - 17 Victoria, Cap. 95, have been appointed members thereof in the following rank- Messers Geoghegan, Therdore Francis, William Smith, Dennis Fizpatrick, Charls Mason Gardner, Charles John Powlett, Herbert Mills Birdwood, James Francis Katherinus Hewitt.
