Reference regarding the date of confirmation of the officers recruited direct as A.M.E.'s during 1948. Decision: i) that except in the case of Mr. T.C. Chadda and PVS Sastry, the probation should be deemed to have terminated on 18.849 ad that they should be confirmed w.e.f. 19.8.49. ii) that except in the cases of Messrs. Chadda and Khanna who had been given higher initial pay (and hence higher dates for increments) the seniority inter se should be regulated by rank in the selection; iii) that these officers will rank senior to the special class apprentices of the 1944 and subsequent groups but that their seniority will be interpolated with that of the Special Class Apprentices of the 1943 group and iv) that they would earn leave counting their service from the date of joining the B.N. Railway for training, as if they had held the post substantively from the beginning. Circulations of the seniority list and fixation of the dates or increments in tine scale of Messrs.
