Proposed amendment of the Indian extradition Act 1903 so as to empower Magistrates to exercise in the case of accused persons for whose arrest they have received from Indian states warrants for extradition powers similar to those conferred under section 497 of the code of of criminal procedure 1898. Decision that political officers should consider more freely the desirabilitly of allowing bail even in the case of minor non-bailable offences should the circumstances appear to justify the action
