With reference to NO. 1908, dated 15th instant, sanctions the grant to Sir B. Maxwell, Recorder of the Prince of Wales Island, of the full salary of the Recordership of Singapore for the period during which that office may be vacant, and with retrospective effect from the date of the vacancy.
