Derailment of engine and four 3rd class carriages of 57 up passenger train at mile 266/9/10 at 22/55 hours on the 1st August 1929, midway between Bhatparrani and Bhatni, B.&N.W.Ry due to malicious removal of fishplates and fish bolts and outer spikes of one rail, resulting in one passenger being killed and several injured of whom two died in the hospital.
