Proposal to give the Resident at Gwalior a Political Assistant, with the necessary establishment, to deal with the administration of the petty States and estates which are in his Political charge. Deputation of Major S. F. Bayley to visit these States and estates with the object of enquiring thoroughly into their present condition, needs and possibilites.
