Consent of H. E. the Governor- General under Section 270(1) of the Government of India Act, 1935, to the prosecution of Adhir Chandra Gupta, Signaller, Dhubri Post Office, Coalpara district, under section 409 of the Indian Penal Code. Provl. Govt. told that as the offence under s. 408 or s. 409, I.P.C. is not one in respect of which the protection of sec. 270 of the Govt. of India Act can be claimed, there was no occassion to grant the consent in this case.
