Orders on the representation made by the Bombay Millowners Association against the method adopted in Bombay of allowing deductions for depreciation machinery and buildings in ascertaining the net profits of factories for purposes of income tax assessment. Local Goverments asked to examine the practice in rspect of such deductions obtaining in the different provinces, to lay down clear rules and to enforce a strict adherence thereto.
