Treatment of house-rent allowances at Shillong as Presidency house-rent allowances for the purposes of the rules in Article 62 and 267 of the Civil Service Regulations and continuance, during temporary absence on duty from Shillong, of house-rent allowance to a Sub-Inspector of Police who was granted the allowance at that place in lieu of free quarters.
