Date of birth.- Decision that a departure, to any extent that would affect the pensionery liability of the Govt. of India, from the ruling given in 1923, viz. that when a military employee in transferred to a civil Dept. and assumes a civilian status, the ----- to be entered in his service book should be the date stated by him at the time of alteration cannot be agreed to. (Case of Krishna Aba Sawant, a constable in the Bombay Police).
