Grant of an invalid pension of Rs.4-4-10 a month to Puncham, late Meteorolgical Observer at Seoni. Question whether an officer who has attained the age of fifty-five years may, on production of a medical certificate of incapacity for further service, be allowed to retire on an invalid instead of a superannuation pension. Article 521 (a) of the Civil Service Regulations not to be applied for the reducing the pension of an officer whose qualifying service began after the 20th January 1871, and after he attained the age of 30 years, and who is invalided on account of any specific disease.
