Introduction of the Salt Credit system into Bengal and delegation of powers to District officers in that province to execute salt credit bonds on behalf of the Secretary of State for India. Exemption of Government securities deposited for the purpose of salt credits in Bengal and Eastern Bengal and Assam from the operation of rule I of the rules regulating the deposits of securities with Government officers.
