Despatch to the Secretary of State for India, enquiring whether the rates exchange laid down in the contract with the Bengal-Nagpur Railway Company are applicabel to the transactions of the extensions of the Bengal-Nagpur Railway equally with those of the open line, and referring, for orders, the general question of the manner of bringing to account as revenue, under the head of `Gain by Exchange`, certain transactions arising in connection with the capital accounts of State-aided Railway Companies.
