Request of the Madras Govt. for permission by the French Indian Government to levy certain provincial taxes in the Calicut and Masulipatam Loges. Decision not to address the French Indian authorities in the matter in view of the instructions issued by the French Governor to the Administrators at Mahe and Yanam to ensure that the situation arising from the conflict of jurisdiction in the loges is not used to the detriment of the services of the Provincial Government.
