Letter from Mr.J.Duncan, Resident at Benares, to Mr.E.Hay, Secretary, intimating that he has given notice to all British subjects residding in Benares and not in Companys service, that none of them will be allowed to remain there after the 1st March without a particular license from Government, giving with his remarks a list of these Europeans and forwarding a Copy of his correspondence with Mr.Gardener on the subject.
