Letter from Admiral Sir Edward Hughes describing an engagement with the French fleet off Cuddalore, the result of the fight and the cessation of hostitilities due to the Peace of Versailies, acknowleding the repayment of a lak of pagodas for victualling the squadron advanced out of the public money, and strongly protesting against the Boards methods of supplying the fleet.
