Letter from the Board of Trade, intimating that they have accepted the proposal contained in Mr. Speke`s letter of the 3rd August, that they have notified to the subordinate officers the omission of turmeric and shellac from the present year`s investemetn, and directed the Warehouse keeper to supply the Mint Master with 200 maunds of lead; agreeing to purchase the saltpetre tendred by Mr. Scott`s attorney; proposing to increase the lading of saltpetre more particularly during the war; recommending taking a quantity of saltpetre on loan from a gentleman on the same conditions as were made with Mr. Scott; giving a statement according to which the subscription to the present investment should be extended, and requesting an order for a sum of money for the provision of Behar petre.
