Letter from Major Isaac Eaton to the Governor-General stating the causes which he thinks lead to the frequent desecrtions amongst the Sepoys, prosing the adoption of a plan to a stop to these desertions by establishing a recruiting station at Buxar, asking to be place in command of such a station should his plan be over put into execution and emplaining of his having been transfeerrd from the command of the Buxar fort , after he had spent his own money in strengthening its defences.
