Extract from the 15th paragraph of the Hon`ble Court`s letter of the 3rd January, 1775, to the Chief and Council at Balambangan, newly appointed , directing that Mr. Herbert may be required to proceed to England as soon as convenient, but that if he complains against his sndden removel from Balambangan, he may be allowed to remain there for a period not exceeding 12 months.
