Acting Resident - Transmits Copies of Sundry Documents relative to the violent and refactory Conduct of Mr. Q. G Ley who had settled at Padant and had smuggled a quantity of adulterated opinion in to that Residency. Observations thereon also, states that he quitted Padang and left his Family in great distress - Requests instructions for his future guidance in the referrence of any similar case and suggests the with drawing of the protection of Government from Mr. Ley in the event of his arriving at any of the Presidency in Indian.
