Resoultion - Advices from Fort St. George having been received stating that Mr. Petrie Wason the eve embarking for Prince of Wales Island in order to asume the Government of that settlement according to his appointment by the Honble Court of Directors under ate the 29th January last - The Governor General in Council considers it to be expidient that measures should be adopted to furnish the present Governor of Prince of Wales Island the Hon Mr. Srton with an early opportunity returning to the Presidency.
