Copy of a letter from to Mr. W.Ewer , stating taht he is appointed to be commissioner at Fort Marlbro to inquire into the state of the Company `s affairs at the Residency, giving particulars about his paya, his Private Secretary, his establishment , his conveyance etc. intimating that the Acting Deputy Governor and Council are suspended , that he is vested with their powers , forwardding commissions to that effect pay and position of the Deputy governor and council and the Officer commanding at Fort Marlbro , and detailing the subjects on which he is to enquire and report to the Board.
