Surveyor General - Encloses under a flying seal a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary at Fort St. George with the last quarterly accounts and recieve of the expenses of the surveys under that Residency explains why the transmission of those accounts had been to long delayed and requests to know whether the reports to Madras should be as at present forwarded to this Department on directly from the Sruveyor Generals office - Is of opinion that the regulations existing at this Presidency in regard to auditing of accounts etc. should the recommended at the other expediencies - is desisons to obtain some information from Madras respecing the establishment of Native surveyors in Travancore the Northern Circars and the Nizams Country ect.
