From Secretary - Submits a List of Books lent out of the College and a List of Gentlemen by whom they have been borrowed - adverts to the want of orders from Government to guide the Secretary & Librarian in lending out Books. Notices the progress made in the compilation of the Arabic Lexicon named the Kamoos to which Government subscribed in 1826. Submits for inspecting the quantity of the work actually finished ( 716 pages) & suggests certain measures and a further advance with the view to accelerate the progress & printing of the work. To prepare for his voyage to England. Requests permission to be absent from his Office from 1st Proximo until the date of Sailing of the Minerva, and that Lt. Todd be allowed to act for him during that period.
