From Board - Submit copy of correspondence regarding the SawGins received from the Court of Directors last year from which it apears that one forwarded in its original Package to Calpee was found on arrival to be incomplete & too late in the Season to admit of a Trial. A favorable report is given of the one tried at the Horticultural Societys Farm at Akra and of the one at the Gloster Mills. Suggest that they make over for the present to the Horticultural Society the Machines lately arrived doubt whether Saw Gins can be brought into general use in this Country. Request permission to try some experiments at the Gloster Cotton Works with unpicked Cotton and will report the result to Government.
