From Lieut M.Kittoe Superintendent Raepore Road states that he experiences great difficulty in procuring labourers and supplies in the District of Midnapore and requests that he may be empowered to enforce the Zamindars to furnish supplies for his camp , and to cause the working classes to cut the Jungle and open the Roads.
