Forwards to the Foreign Department Copy of Courts Despatch No. 53 of 1856 dated 4th June regarding the missing articles in the Punjab Collection for the late Pans Exhibition and the prehuinary enquiry held on the conduct of Mr. Cope late Secretary of the Lahore Committee also a copy of Dr. Royles statement enclosed in the Despatch with a view to the communication of that statement by the Foreign Department to the Chief commissioner of the Punjab accompanied by a request that the Chief Commissioner will report the result of the Civil Suit instituted against Mr. Cope. the Report when received to be forwarded to this Department.
