To Secretary - In reply to his letter dated 30th ultimo with enclosures communicates the observations of Government on the Special Commissioners report, therewith received, regarding the causes Santhal insurrection and desires that the thanks of Government be conveyed to the several Civil Officers who have been employed during the progress and on the scenes of these events.
