From - Forwards Copy of Court of Despatch no. 15 of 1857 dated 4th February approving of the arrangements sanctioned by this Government for remuneration the administration General of Madras subject to revision as at Bombay at the end of two years intimationg with reference to a report made to them by the Government of Madras on the subject of the insufficiency of the work of that Officers its expected dimunition under Sec. 5 of act VIII of 1855 that they have directed that Government to considorn what other Office can be comlined in the # to rednce in # supreme Government the salary of the Office in question the expense of its Establishment Directs that the some course should be followed with respect to the administration General of Bombay.
