Junior Secretary - With reference to letter of the 2nd Ultimo enslosing copy of Courts Desptach No. 66 of 1857 of 6th may respecting the case of Mr. WmGrant who was sent to England as a Sunatie on the Ship `Pvanhse` transmits for the information of the Honble Court copy of a letter & of its encloses from the Middle Board reporting on the treatment received by Mr. Grant while in the Lunatie asylum at Bhowanipore & of one from the officiating Magistrate of Bhaugulpore with encloses showing that serving to Mr. Grants relations having been in strained circumstances no provision was made by them for his support in the asylum the orgnable papers sent int he case of Mr. Grant appre hension & admission into the asylum & his transmission to England have already been reported to the Honble Court.
