Secretary Bengal - Submits for consideration & orders copy of a letter from the Bengal Account respecting a Bill of Exchange which was issued for his office on the Collector of Mymensing in favour of Messers Mackillop Stewart & Company for Rs. 10000 the advice of which was lost in transit and in consequence of which the Bill was dishonoured when presented for payment in the Collectors Treasury & upon the amount of which the above firm has claimed interest - states the steps that have been taken by the Lieut Governer on the matter.
