To Secretary Bengal - Acknowledge the foregoing reporting that the people of ahmedabad had connected to defray one half of the annual charge of a College at that Town that 42601 Rs. had already ben subscribed towards a sum which it is intended should within he invested and the interest appropriated to current College expenses or otherwise dispoced of states that theG. G. in C. is willing to give a sum eqal to that already subscrobed if it he for a definate purpose such s bilding a College but to give as large a sum of the public money morly to be incorted as aforsaid for meeting a past of the general expenses of the College or to be otherwise disposed of would in his Lordship opinion he unusual and open to much objection.
