To Secretary - With reference to the doubts the have from time to time arislu as to the Competency of the Several Executive Governments to pardon in the case of sentences passed by one of H.Mis Sup. Courts in India, draws attention to the provisions of act XVIII of 1855 under which those Governments will in future exercise the power of pardon etc. in all cases ariding within the limits of there respective jurisdetion.
