To - With reference to letter from the late Governor # # sent of 3d March reply the allowances to be drawn by Captain Man & Macpherson as Resident Councillor Malacon & as Extract Office & Superintendant of Courts & Round at Singapore, Communicates with a view to its being referred to the Honble Court the remarks of the Governmet of India that the salary of the Office of Superintendant of Conviets & # at Singapore to which # Macpherson has been appointed is Rs. 600 a no, but Captain man the late incumbut had a personal allowance of Rs. 250 for the duties of the abolished office of Superintendant Engineer in address to those of the office of Superintendant of Covirates the Court may be disposed to sanction the Courts of this allowance to Captain Macpherson so long as he continuous to perform the sent be duty.
