To Acting Chief Secretary - Transmitting copies of Extracts Territorial Department dated 25th May and 29 Ultimo and requesting that Mr. J.Grant the Individual alluded to therein, be called upon to state under what authority the Interest on the Bencoolem Promissory Note for Dollars 3600 standing in the room of Mrs Lucy # was received by him and to adopt such measures as may seem practicable to recover the Amount improberly drawn by Mr. G.and to stay future payments that is if he has no valid authority to receive Interest on the said Note.
