Read a Despatch No. 2 of 1856, dated the 23rd July, in the Statistical Department, from the Honble the Court of Directors, Communicating observations relative to the next Indian General Census, and remarking that , as in Great Britain, the United States of America, and other Countries in Europe, it may be taken at intervals of ten years, begining with the year 1861.
