Governor of Bengal of 2 nd August.marked A on his summary and ignomineoious removal from the office of Commissioner of Patna, which considering the urgency of the times and the important consequences involves on his dismissal he has ventured to lay directly before Government for which he hopes to be excused and in detailing the circumstances which governed his proceedings in the disposal of the several important matters he had to deal with which he invariably brought to a happy close, he now throws himself on th verdict of the Governor General in Council and prays that the wrong done him be voided and the Coumissionership restored to him.
