Read Bill passed by the Ledislative Council of India of the 1st March 1858 - `to authorige the confiscation of village, the imposition of fines and the forfeiture of certain offices in cases of rebellin and other crimes committed by Inhobitants of villages on Members of Tribes and also to provide for the punishment of proprietors of land who might not assist in the sussressim of rebellion or in the apprehension f Rebels, Mutineers on Desenters to which Bill the Governor Generals assent was given on the 19th March 1858 and which has since been published as Act No X of 1858.
