From Officiating Assistant Secretary - Forwards for information copy of a Circular addressed to the Commissioner of Divisions - Annexing for information & guidance copy of a requisition from the Foreign Department to be furnished with a report of the result of the measures for for disarming the population of the Doab & the District North of the Ganges & reporting that a return of arms possessed by each class of the people and amount surrendered be prepared in the principlas laid down in paras 6 - 7 of circular dated 21 December last, embracing the period from the communication of operations up to 30th Ulitmi, & to be submitted within a month also that a similar Return be submitted after the close of the ensuing half year ending 31st December, should the extension of the Act applied for the sanctioned by the Legislative - Monthly returns in Liew of weekly statement of arms called being in the meanwhile submitted.
