Acquainting him that Govt as is of opinion that if the men of the hy. Contingent are to eb placed upon the same footing as the men of the Bengal army with respect to hutting allowance, it would be only fan that the should be on a smilar footing in other respects where as at present the men of the contingent have an advantage over to the Bengal sepoy who where on leave of absence are demed battalion and are limited to pay Rupees 5/8 there fore desiring to know his opinion as to whether in the of the hutting allowance being extended to the men of the contingent.
