With reference to G.O.G.G. 21st sept. 1853 and 15th april 1854 submits copy of a lr. from ensign wodehause of the 22nd N.I. solicting permission to resign the service and a copy of his reply thereto pointeing out to the Ensign why his application could not be submtted for the orders.
