In reply to Mily. department letter no. 1056 dated 30th sept. 1850 states that the surplus in Question of malt liquor Arose from management in the annual indent for the correct preparation fo whch his departmet is dependant entirely upon the right indents that simply from theconsumption at the sevral station for European troops .
