Acknowledge the receipt of his lt.r daed 24th Jan. 1857 submitting one from Major Nuthall comg. pegn Lt.Infyu. bn. with his remarks on the recruiting instructino of the ceylon rifle para by para and stating tht as captian Octon is now recruitng for the pegn Lt. infy. Govt. will await the resutl of that officer.
