With refrence to your letter no 2860 the the 4th novembher 1856 Iam directed to state for the information of the right Honble the Governor in council that a copy of the papers on the subject of the appeal against supercession amde by colonel thrope of the madras army whose memorial was returned with my letter no 690 date d19th september 1856.
