With reference to letters from this Dept. dated 8th January and 9th September 1840, regarding Captain Lloyd's position in the Indian Navy transmits an extract of a lettter from the Honable Court of Directors requests instructions whether the promotion of Commander Lloyd to be a supremumerary Captain should be cancelled.
