Jenkins demanded reparation re thanks that officer should understand that it is not the wish of Govt. to Shut out all take of a future restoration of the territory that has been seized and be authorized in his future communications with the Bootan authorities, to shape his course on that understanding without weakening his position by an appearance of drawing back.-
