After reaching retirement age and receiving leave with effect from March 14, 1927, the honourable Lt. Col. S.B.A. Patterson, C.S.I., C.I.E., agent to the governor general in Rajputana, was granted leave. On his retirement from the Political Department, Lt. Col. S.B.A. Patterson, C.S.I., C.I.E. received a farewell letter. The appointment of Mr. L.W. Reynolds, C.I.E., M.C., with effect from March 14, 1927, as a Resident of the First Class and Agent to the Governor General in Rajputana. With effect from the 14th and 15th of March 1927, respectively, the appointment of Mr. E.C. Gibson as Secretary and Captain C.W. Harvey, M.C., as Under Secretary to the Honourable the Agent to the Governor General in Rajputana and Chief Commissioner Ajmer-Merwara
